What I Am Learning...
- I am a child of God because I have received Him and believe in His name.
“Yet to all who received Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God.” – John 1:12
- I am Christ’s friend. John 15:15 says, “I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you.”
This is about our relationship with Christ, not about our calling as Christ followers who are to serve God.
- Now that I am under grace, I have been set free from sin and have become a slave to righteousness. So now I offer my body in slavery to righteousness, which leads to holiness. (Romans 6:15-23)
- I am not my own! My body is God’s temple—His dwelling place. His Spirit lives in me. Since I am not my own, I should honor God with my body. (1 Corinthians 3:16; 6:19)
- “I’ve tasted and seen of the sweetest of loves, where my heart becomes free and my shame is undone—Your presence, Lord.”
- “Get over yourself! It’s not about you.”
